Puree with many carbohydrates: rice and chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 leek
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 squash
  • 5 cherry tomatoes
  • 1/8 cup rice
  • 60 grams of chicken breast
  • Chicken broth
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel and slice the vegetables and chicken breast.
  2. Fill a pan with water and bring to a boil. Then add the vegetables and rice.
  3. After about 20 minutes, or when the vegetables start to tenderize, add the chicken pieces, and wait until it is completely cooked.
  4. Finally, pour the cooked ingredients into a blender. Add chicken broth and a pinch of salt.
  5. Blend it well until you have a smooth texture.

Puree with many carbohydrates: sweet potato and apple

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 large sweet potato
  • ½ apple
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the apple and cut it into slices. Avoid peeling the apple so that it does not lose its nutrients. 
  2. Boil the apple for several minutes, with olive oil, in a pan.
  3. Add two tablespoons of water and let it boil further.
  4. Once the apple is soft, mash it with a fork.
  5. Now, wash, peel and chop the sweet potatoes. Boil them in water, with a little salt, until soft enough to be mashed.
  6. Combine the mashed apple and the mashed sweet potatoes, and mix well. 
  7. Add a little salt.
  8. Add a little olive oil and serve.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup wholemeal rice
  • 1 small, ripe banana

Instructions

  1. In a food processor or blender, blend the uncooked rice. Continue blending until the rice has become powdered.
  2. Bring some water to a boil and add 2, or more, tablespoons of the powdered rice. Let it cook for several minutes.
  3. Mash the small, ripe banana and mix it with the cooked rice powder. Mix it well  with a whisk or a hand mixer.
  4. Add salt to taste and serve.
